The ED is investigating money laundering against Sanghvi

Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday raided various places, including the Mumbai office of Bollywood producer Parag Sanghvi. The bank is investigating the default-money laundering case against the ED relative. Action was taken in this regard.

After raids at various places in Sanghvi, ED officials brought him to the ED office in South Mumbai where he was interrogated for about six hours. Sanghvi has been active in Bollywood and entertainment for the last 15 years. He has produced films like Sarkar, Partner, Bhoot Returns, Ab Tak Chappan, Darna Mana Hai, Golmaal-Fun Unlimited, Vastushastra.

According to the report, the ED raided Sanghvi's office on Friday afternoon after which he was interrogated at the ED's office for about six hours. It is said that ED got a lot of information from the statement in the money laundering case. ED officials confirmed the raid but declined to give further details.

This is not the first time that Sanghvi has been embroiled in a controversy. Earlier in 2018, the Thane police had questioned you about a betting racket involving the IPL. Many people were also arrested in this chapter. However, the Thane police later gave a clean chit to Sanghvi and clarified that Sanghvi had no role in this.
