The issue has been a source of controversy in India since the Taliban regime came to power in Afghanistan. Following the formation of the interim government, the Taliban recently issued a statement saying that women could not become ministers. Now, under the pretext of this statement, Congress leader Digvijay Singh has targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in India.

Congress leader Digvijay Singh tweeted on Friday morning that the Taliban say women do not deserve to be ministers. Mohan Bhagwat says that women should run the household at home. Are there similarities in ideas? Digvijay Singh questioned whether the RSS and the Taliban have the same ideas for women.

In fact, Congress leader Digvijay Singh has shared an old statement by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh president Mohan Bhagwat. It is a 2013 statement in which Mohan Bhagwat said that marriage between husband and wife is an agreement in which the wife takes care of the house and the rest while the husband takes care of the chores and the safety of the woman.

Notably, there is a constant controversy in India over the Taliban issue. Several opposition leaders have lashed out at the government over the issue. Many leaders have also made statements on the Taliban issue that have caused a stir.

Digvijay Singh also asked the Indian government to clarify its policy on the Afghanistan issue. Digvijay Singh wrote in a tweet that the Modi-Shah government will now have to clarify whether India will recognize a member of a declared terrorist organization in the Taliban government and a declared rewarded terrorist minister.

After occupying Afghanistan, the Taliban announced that it would involve women in government. But women have not been given a place in the recently formed interim government. In the midst of all this, the Taliban has also made a statement that women cannot be ministers, they only have children.
