US warns Pakistan not to be distracted by China, threatens to attack IS-K and Al-Qaeda

WASHINGTON: Pakistan was happy after the Taliban took over Afghanistan. And was also openly helping terrorists. The United States has launched airstrikes on ISIS-K, a terrorist organization active in Afghanistan, as well as Al Qaeda. The United States has stepped up pressure on Pakistan to help with the attack.

A report has been published by Pakistan's Dawn newspaper covering various talks between Pakistan and the United States since the Taliban took over Afghanistan.

The report said that the US was making efforts to help Pakistan in its operation against terrorists launched after the capture of the Taliban. In particular, ISIS-Khorasan and Al Qaeda terrorists are targeted by the US. The US feels that Pakistan can help it eradicate terrorism in Afghanistan.

With China currently keeping an eye on both Afghanistan and Pakistan, the US wants China not to succeed in this whole affair and is also trying to keep Pakistan with it. After Pakistan praised the Taliban, China also praised it. So given the current situation, the US has now started increasing pressure on Pakistan on the issue of terrorism.
