China: Earthquake shakes Sichuan province again after 13 years, 2 killed, 3 injured

The quake affected China's Sichuan province early in the morning. The magnitude of the quake was 6 on the Richter scale. So far 2 people have lost their lives and 3 people have been seriously injured due to this natural disaster. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

The quake struck at 4:33 a.m. in southwest China's Sichuan Province or Luxian County. Most people were asleep at the time. People rushed out of their homes and flats due to the strong aftershocks of the earthquake. The local administration has been engaged in relief work after the quake. The death toll could rise in Kaoba village in Fuji Township, the administration said.

The epicenter was reported at 10 km below the ground, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
