Survey of five state assembly elections to be held next year announced

The Aam Aadmi Party claims the highest number of seats in Punjab, with the ruling Congress likely to be second

New Delhi: Assembly elections are to be held in five states next year in 2022, including the most important Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. However, a recent survey claims that the BJP will get 259 to 267 seats in Uttar Pradesh and will form a BJP government again. The Samajwadi Party will be in second place with an estimated 100 seats. The BSP is third with 15 seats and the Congress is likely to get 3 to 7 seats, the survey said.

The survey was conducted by ABP News Sea Water. It claimed that three per cent of respondents said corruption was important for voters, 39 per cent for unemployment, 26 per cent for inflation, 19 per cent for farmers, 10 per cent for corona and three per cent for other issues.

Watershare is also covered in the survey. It is claimed that the BJP alliance could get 42 per cent, the Samajwadi Party 30 per cent, the BSP 16 per cent and the Congress 5 per cent. Forty-five per cent of those surveyed said they were happy with the functioning of the current Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh. While 20 per cent said they were less satisfied and 34 per cent said they were not satisfied with the functioning of the yogi government.

If we look at other states, Uttarakhand may also have a BJP government again with 44 to 48 seats while the Congress may get 19 to 23 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party is also expected to get 0 to 4 seats here. The Aam Aadmi Party is projected to win more seats in Punjab than the Congress. In Punjab, you can get 51 to 57 seats, while the Congress can get 38 to 49 seats. Goa is expected to have a BJP government once again.

The BJP's account could have 22 to 26 seats here. Congress may account for 3-7 seats. Thus the Aam Aadmi Party is also likely to get 4-8 more seats in Goa than the Congress. Elections are also going to be held in Manipur next year. In Manipur, the BJP accounted for 40 per cent, the Congress 35 per cent and the NPF 6 per cent, while others accounted for 17 per cent.
