700 crore trade of 126 fake companies and 100 crore tax evasion

Verma had been running a scam for two years by creating fake companies with the Aadhaar card of the illiterate-poor in Uttar Pradesh.

Agra: A huge scam has come to light in the Uttar Pradesh city of Agra. Officials of the Central GST Department arrested a cunning smuggler who allegedly stole Rs. 100 crore lime was applied.

The scam involved setting up fake companies and later evading taxes. Government officials identified the accused as Nitin Verma and he was picked up from Sector-7 of Awas Vikas Colony in Agra.

The scam had earlier created 126 fake companies and made Rs. 700 crore, the last of which was Rs. 100 crore tax evasion and Rs. 100 crore. This beggar was so clever that he created fake companies on hard paper with the help of Aadhaar cards of very illiterate and poor people.

He also officially registered the company after it was set up and then only showed that it was traded on paper, i.e. prepared an invoice and took input tax credit on it. The funny thing is that Nitin Verma has been running this scam for the last two years, and government officials have been looking for him for two years.

On Sunday evening, a Central GST department official was informed that Nitin Verma was present at his residence in Awas Vikas Colony, Agra. As soon as the information was received, a team of Central GST officials accompanied by the police reached Awas Vikas Colony and arrested the accused Verma.

After arresting the accused, the authorities initiated legal action against him and put him behind bars. In addition, the authorities have frozen all the bank accounts of Nitin Verma.

Officers also began recovering as much money as possible from the accused. RD Singh, superintendent of the central GST department, said that some other people were also involved with Nitin Verma and an arrest warrant had been issued for all of them.

According to RD Singh, Rs. Nitin Verma, a tax collector of Rs 100 crore, lived in extravagant pomp and used to make even the rich feel ashamed. He also made several trips abroad and also strengthened ties with political leaders and media personnel and journalists.
