Zydus Cadillac vaccine may soon be approved, doses to be given to people over 12 years of age

The corona vaccination mission in India could soon be a huge success. The Zydus Cadillac corona vaccine may soon be approved for emergency use. If approved, it will be the sixth vaccine to be used in India.

Specifically, the Zydus Cadillac vaccine can be given to people over 12 years of age. If approved for Zydus vaccine, it will be the first vaccine in India for people between the ages of 12 and 18. Ahmedabad-based company Zydus Cadila has developed the world's first DNA-based covid vaccine. His success rate in the trial was more than 77 percent.

So far 5 vaccines have been approved

So far, a total of 5 vaccines have been approved in India and 3 of them are being used. Covishield, Covexin and Sputnik-V are being used across the country.

Modern, Johnson & Johnson (single dose) vaccines have also been approved. The Zydus Cadillac vaccine will become the sixth vaccine in the country. More than 500 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in India so far.

The Government of India aims to provide at least one dose of the vaccine to all adults by December 2021. It is also hoped that one crore vaccines will be given daily by September.
