Two doses of the vaccine are mandatory for U.S. greencard applicants from Oct. 1

The decision was made in view of the growing case of Corona in America

The highest number of Indians applying for a green card abroad is Indians so this order will affect them

Mumbai: October 1, 2021 All types of applicants applying for a green card in the US must have taken two doses of the corona vaccine to be able to safely obtain their permanent residence (green card) card after undergoing an immigration medical examination.

The order was issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the wake of the growing number of corona cases in the United States. Those who are currently in the United States and wish to apply for a greencard apply for a greencard through the US Embassy and Consulate in Cheyenne and abroad.

The new order worries Indians the most as Indians are the largest group of foreigners applying for US green cards. In particular, all applicants currently living in the United States under an H-1B visa and applying for a green card are required to take two doses of vaccine approved for use in the United States or recommended for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO) when they come for a medical test. The certificate received from the authorities has to be submitted.

The applicant must have taken two doses of the vaccine even if they have proof of their immunity. People who do not qualify for the vaccine because of the age limit do not need to have taken two doses of the vaccine.
