Srinagar: Three Toiba militants were killed by Army in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. In the last 24 hours, five militants have been killed in Kashmir. A search operation was launched by the army in Baramulla late Monday night to search for the terrorists.

However, when the terrorists came to know about it, there was a heavy exchange of fire between the two. In which three terrorists were killed. The slain terrorists are Faisal Fayaz, Rameez Ahmed and Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh. The terrorists were residents of Shopian and Kupwada.

The three militants were linked to Lashkar-e-Toiba's organization The Resistance Force (TRF). Earlier on Monday, two militants were killed, including a TRF chief named Abbas Sheikh. Another man, identified as Shakib Manzoor, has been identified as the deputy chief of police.

The army succeeded in killing four terrorists of the same organization and its chief. As many as 100 militants have been wiped out so far this year, Kashmir police said. On the other hand, a large scale search operation was launched in Bandipora. In which the army captured six Toiba terrorists with large-scale weapons.

On the other hand, a 16-year-old resident of POJK in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir was found by the LOC. The youth, identified as Khyam Maqsood, crossed the border into Poonch and entered Indian territory, after which he was detained. The youth is a resident of Abbaspur which is located in POJK. The young man is currently being questioned.
