Third wave scare: Corona's new case crosses 44,000, 496 more killed

With a record-breaking 10 million doses of corona vaccine in one day, 62 million doses have been delivered across the country so far.

New Delhi: Experts have warned that a third wave of corona virus in India could start in September or October. The way the cases are increasing again is also giving a warning sign.

New cases of corona virus are again crossing 40 thousand. At the same time, active cases are growing just as fast. Following which, the warning of the third wave is coming true.

In the last 24 hours, 44,658 new cases of corona virus have been reported. At the same time, the number of active cases has also crossed 3.44 lakh. Not only this, the percentage of active cases which was 1 per cent this week has now risen to 1.06 per cent.

Corona has killed 496 people in the last 24 hours. As a result, the death toll has crossed 4.36 lakh. As Corona's cases escalate, the central government is recommending a night curfew in states where the situation is exploding.

Currently, the Center has asked the Maharashtra and Kerala governments to consider re-imposing night curfew in the state in view of the rising cases of corona. Corona's cases have been crossing 40,000 for two days.

In the middle of this month, Corona's daily cases were the lowest in five months at just 25,000, although Corona's daily cases have risen in the last three days. The situation is exploding in Kerala, with 60 per cent of new cases reported across the country in the last one week.

One of the reasons for the increase in active cases of corona is that the number of recoveries has increased rather than increased compared to new cases. Corona's daily cases are crossing 40,000 while the number of recoveries is around 32,000.

Lockdown-like conditions may re-emerge in states where cases are on the rise. Vaccination on the other hand is accelerating which is also a good sign. In just one day, 93 lakh doses of Corona vaccine have been given, which is also a record for the highest number of vaccine doses. So far, 62 crore doses of vaccine have been given across the country.
