The officer will cut the currency and pay a fine of up to Rs 5,000 for spreading dirt in the open

There is a very strong attitude of the Central and State Governments towards cleanliness. Now there is more rigor in this. Spitting in the open, littering, kitchen waste water leaking out, sewage running down the street and defecating in the open can be costly for people.

If anyone is caught doing any of these things, a fine ranging from Rs 250 to about Rs 5,000 can be levied on that person.

Applied in 2019

The government has authorized 13 officials to strictly enforce the Solid Waste Management Act. The Act was enacted in the year 2019 but no action has been taken under it so far. Proceedings did not take place as the department did not issue a currency book to cut the currency. People's currencies were not cut for this reason.

These officers were authorized

The government has authorized about 13 officers from different departments to implement the strict stance of the Solid Waste Management Act.

These officers include Director of Urban Development as well as Joint, Additional and Deputy Director, Executive, Assistant and Junior Engineer, Supervisor All DM, DC, ADM, SDM, All SP, CMO, Forest Officer, All District Officer, All Environment Officer, All Tourism Officer, District Food Officers have been involved.

The fine is up to 5 thousand rupees

If an official authorized by the government catches someone in his jurisdiction spreading garbage, defecating in the open, he can cut the currency on it.

You can be fined up to five thousand rupees for not spreading rubbish or dirt in a public place or anywhere to avoid currency.
