The minister who went to help the flood victims trapped himself

Bhopal: Home Minister Narottam Mishra, who went to the Madhya Pradesh government to help people affected by the floods, got himself trapped and had to be airlifted.

Home Minister Narottam Mishra, while inspecting the flood-hit Datia district, came to know that nine people were trapped on the roofs of houses and surrounded by water. Leaving the roof of the house, the whole house is submerged. Upon learning this, Mishra, who was on an SDRF boat, managed to reach the people despite the same air and water among some relief workers. A tree fell and fell on the boat before the Home Minister could rescue them. The motor could not be turned on after that.

Shortly thereafter, the local administration was contacted. An Indian Air Force helicopter then had to be sent to rescue him and nine others. Indian Air Force personnel also airlifted Narottam Mishra after rescuing all the trapped people.

The Home Minister has visited many flood-hit areas of Datia district to take care of rescue and relief camps. However, the Congress criticized the incident as a publicity stunt. Congress leader Bhupendra Gupta said that our Home Minister trying to act like Spiderman was a dangerous game for him and the people trapped in that place. This was just a publicity stunt.
