The ban on international flights has been extended to September 30

However, flights will continue on some of the preferred routes under the Air Bubble Agreement

New Delhi: The ban on international flights has been extended till September 30 in the wake of a global outbreak of the corona virus, an official press release issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said today.

However, the list clarified that international flights were allowed on some selected routes on a case-by-case basis. It may be mentioned that following the global outbreak of Covid-19, the Indian government had imposed a complete ban on international flights from March 23, 2020.

However, under the Vande Bharat Mission, which was launched in July 2020 under an air bubble arrangement with some countries, international flights continued on some selected routes.

This mission was started especially to help the Indians who are stranded abroad and want to return home. Whose operations were later extended. India had signed agreements for air bubble management with a total of 28 countries, including the US, UK, UAE, Kenya, Bhutan and France. Under the agreement, the two countries will be able to operate flights of their airlines to each other's countries.
