Talks between the Taliban and the Northern Alliance have resumed in Panjshir, Afghanistan. The Taliban may have taken over the entire area but have not yet reached Panjshir. The two groups have been at loggerheads for a long time but now a ceasefire has been agreed.

It is learned that talks between the Northern Alliance and the Taliban, led by Ahmed Masood, began at Parwan. Maulana Amir Khan Muktai led the talks on behalf of the Taliban. The Taliban has dubbed the conversation the Aman Jirga. The meeting was held in Charikar area of ​​Parwan district.

The Taliban said on the Panjshir issue that both sides had agreed on a ceasefire. Fighters on both sides in Panjshir will not shoot at anyone at present and no tension will be created.

The Taliban could not defeat Panjshir

Recently, there were reports of firing on the Panjshir border between Taliban and Northern Alliance fighters. It said about 300 Taliban had been killed. The Taliban are constantly trying to occupy Panjshir. The Northern Alliance, however, is adamant that this will not happen.

Ahmed Shah Masood's son Ahmed Masood is currently leading the Northern Alliance. However, acting President of Afghanistan Amarullah Saleh is also staying in the area. Conversations were introduced from all sides. At the same time, however, it was said that the war would be fought if the Taliban wanted it.

At the same time, the two sides are talking about running a coalition government. There are certain conditions from the Northern Alliance on which the Taliban have to decide. While the Taliban is claiming that the Panjshir issue will be resolved soon.
