Lucknow, Ta. Monday 16 August 2021

The news has come as a relief for Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan. The Allahabad High Court has stayed Azam Khan's order to demolish the gate of Jauhar University.

The UP government has sought a reply within four weeks from the High Court's stay on the Rampur district judge's order. Proceedings of any kind are barred until the reply is entered.

This was the charge against Azam Khan

A bench of Justice Ajit Kumar conducted the hearing. The whole affair involved Azam Khan being accused of occupying government land and building a gate. It was argued from Azam Khan that the gate was built on the land of the university. The matter will now go to the next hearing in September.

This was the whole case

SP MP Azam Khan received a major tweak from the Rampur district court. In 2019, BJP leader Akash Saxena in his complaint said that the gate of Azam Khan's university was on government land.

The SDM court had ordered the gate to be demolished after an investigation into the matter. Against which Azam Khan had appealed in the District Court. About 2 years later, the district court rejected Azam Khan's appeal.

The court upheld the order to break down the gate of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University. In this regard, the plaintiff said that in 2019, a complaint was lodged by us that the gate of Jauhar University was on government land. The way it is is paved by PWD. The road on which the gate of Jauhar University was built was constructed at a cost of about Rs 13 crore.
