Anti-bribery vigilance officials found assets worth Rs 3.79 crore, including 1.5 kg of gold and Rs 12 lakh in cash from the private secretary of a member of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission.
Vigilance officers raided the above private secretary named Biranchi Narayan Sahu, Bhubaneswar and six places in Cuttack. The three raiding teams included four DSPs, 13 inspectors and other staff members.
An insurance deposit of Rs 56 lakh, Rs 12 lakh in cash, Rs 13 lakh in cash from a relative's house and 1.5 kg of gold jewelery were recovered. In addition, bank slips showing a large amount of cash in Sahu's bank account have also been seized.
More searches and verifications are taking place. Vigilance officials have seized assets worth Rs 3.79 crore from Sahu.
