Opposition parties are insulting people and democracy by not allowing Parliament to function: PM Modi

New Delhi, dated 3 August 2021, Tuesday

PM Modi has once again lashed out at the Opposition, accusing it of not allowing the monsoon session of Parliament to run.

"This is an insult to democracy and the people as well," PM Modi told a meeting of the BJP's parliamentary party. Earlier, PM Modi had said that the opposition parties were deliberately acting in such a way that whatever stalemate in Parliament would not end. The poll of such attitude of Congress and other parties needs to be opened to the people of the country.

Opposition groups called for a boycott of the assembly. Which is having a very serious impact on the functioning of Parliament. The Pegasus espionage controversy and the new agricultural law have been a constant source of controversy in Parliament. As a result, no significant work has been done in the Parliament since July 19.
