Nehru's speech on 15 August 1947 caused the economy to stagnate and inflation to skyrocket

Bhopal: Top BJP leader and Education Minister in the Madhya Pradesh government Vishwas Sarang's controversial statement slammed the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for the state of the country's economy and rising inflation.

He said that after independence, the Nehru family had worked to stabilize the country's economy and increase inflation. Inflation does not rise in a day or two and the cornerstone of the economy is not laid in a day or two. In fact, the very foundation of the economy was laid on August 15. The country is in a state of turmoil due to the speech delivered by Nehru from the Red Fort on 15 August 1947.

However, Vishwas Sarang has already made controversial statements about Nehru. He has on several occasions referred to Jawaharlal Nehru and lashed out at him for failures, but this time he is being trolled on social media for his statement on inflation.

Thus Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Naresh Balia said that it was Nehru who made the mistake of bringing stupid leaders like you to this earth. Surprisingly, Vishwas Sarang does not want to say anything in his defense about this statement and is adamant on his statement. He said that Nehru had wrongly industrialized, in fact agro-based industrialization was needed at that time. Because even today 60 percent of our system is based on agriculture. Now the Congress leaders are in trouble after my statement.
