More than 200 Indians are stranded in Kabul



New Delhi: More than 200 Indians, including External Affairs Ministry staff, are stranded in Kabul and hundreds of paramilitary personnel are responsible for their protection. They have not yet been expelled from Afghanistan.

With the Taliban gaining control of Afghanistan, its commercial airspace has been shut down. Afghanistan's civil aviation authorities have said they will no longer have control over any passing aircraft from Kabul airspace. All will have to reroute their airroute passing through Afghanistan.
