Digitization, research and development policy to be launched in the state for implementation of NEP

BENGALURU: A policy for digitization, research and development will be launched in the state to help implement the National Education Policy (NEP), Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said in a statement. It is worth mentioning that NEP aims to make a fundamental change in the education system.

Introducing the National Education Policy in Karnataka, the Chief Minister said that if we want to make the National Education Policy a success, we have to reach out to every child in the state.

We will bring a new digitization policy as digitization is necessary for education. He further said that broadband networking would be made available in every village with the help of technocrats and academics. Under the digitization policy, iPad will be given to degree level students.

The Chief Minister said the Primary and Secondary Education Council would be launched from the district headquarters of Kalburgi. There are more than 180 research and development centers in Bengaluru but very few of them are associated with students. He questioned that there are a total of 180 research and development centers associated with each sector but how many of these centers are associated with students?
