Kabul Airport Attack: Terrorist organization ISIS-K claims responsibility for attack, India strongly condemns

India has strongly condemned the deadly bomb blast near Kabul airport. India has said that the blast has once again emphasized the need for the world to unite against terrorism.

The State Department said the terrorist attacks had strengthened the need for the world to stand united against terrorism and those harboring terrorists. Two suicide bombers and a gunman attacked a crowd near Kabul airport on Thursday, killing at least 72 people.

Of these, 13 are U.S. soldiers and the rest are Afghan civilians. More than 140 people were injured in the attack. The terrorist organization ISIS-K (ISIS-Khorosan) has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.

India criticized

India has strongly condemned the bomb blast near Kabul airport. "We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed in this terrorist attack," said Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs.

There was panic at the airport after the bomb blast. A picture from the airport showed people running away in blood. The first blast occurred at the airport's Abbe Gate and the second near the Barun Hotel.

The terrorist group ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack on Kabul airport on the group's telegram account.

British defense sources said both blasts were caused by car bombs and suicide attacks.

Marks of people standing in the water

The assailants targeted people who were standing in a knee-deep water canal to escape the heat and meanwhile the bodies were scattered in the water.
