In the year 2019-20, political parties raised bonds worth Rs 3429.56 crore


BJP, Congress, TMC, NCP got 87 per cent of the electoral bonds

New Delhi: Electoral bonds worth Rs 3429.56 crore were lifted by political parties during the year 2019-20. Out of which, the four national parties BJP, Congress, TMC and NCP have 87.29 per cent. The disclosure was made by the ADR, an organization for electoral rights. The BJP has received the highest amount of bonds.

A new report claims that various political parties have issued bonds worth a total of Rs 3429.56 crore during the financial year 2019-20. While BJP has got the highest amount. According to the report, the BJP has declared its revenue of Rs 3623.28 crore. Which is during the financial year 2019-20. However, only Rs 1651.022 crore or 45.57 per cent has been spent.

While the Congress had revenue of Rs 2019-20 crore during the same period, the party has spent Rs 998.158 crore. TMC said it received a total of Rs 143.676 crore through electoral bonds, etc., while it spent Rs 107.277 crore, which is 74.67 per cent of the bonds received.

The amount of electoral bonds declared by political parties during the financial year 2019-20 is Rs 3441.324 crore. The seven national parties BJP, Congress, TMC, NCP, BSP, AITC, CPI have announced that they have received a total of Rs 4758.206 crore from across India during this period.
