Heavy rains due to Hurricane Henry in Northeast America

Landslide incidents in Long Island

Floods are expected to have less impact, but floods could cause trees and power poles to collapse.

WASHINGTON: Hurricane Henry is currently raging in the northeastern United States. This has led to heavy rains and hurricane conditions in Long Island and Southern New England since Sunday morning. These hurricanes have been placed in the category of Category-1 hurricanes. It is likely to have many dangerous effects in these areas.

Millions of people in the areas notified under the Category-1 hurricanes are now at risk, but even in areas where the hurricane is less affected, floods are likely to cause trees to collapse and power poles to collapse. Storm warnings have been issued to 45 million people due to these hurricanes.

As Henry is heading northwest from Southeast Montauk Point, everyone on the route has been warned, including New York City. Hurricane Sandy in 2012 caused major landslides in major US states, including New Jersey. Meteorologists say Hurricane Henry is a much more powerful hurricane than Sandy.
