Pfizer vaccine meets safety, efficacy and quality test: US FDA

Washington: The United States has given full approval to Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine. The US Food and Drug Administration has approved the vaccine, which is a joint venture between Pfizer and Biontech.

Pfizer's vaccine was previously approved for emergency use. The FDA said in a statement that Pfizer's vaccine met the test of safety, effectiveness and quality. According to Pfizer, the United States is the first country in the world to fully approve our vaccine. The FDA's announcement will boost public confidence in the vaccine.

About 50 percent of the US population is fully vaccinated. There are currently three vaccines available in the United States that protect against corona. These include Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. Pfizer claims its vaccine protects 97 against severe corona. While 96 percent protects against the common corona.
