Corona riots in Japan: Spectators to be banned at Tokyo Paralympics, organizers say

Corona cases are on the rise once again in Japan. The Paralympic Games are set to begin on August 24 in the capital, Tokyo. Thus organizers said on Monday that spectators at the Tokyo Paralympics would be banned due to the risk of the virus.

Despite the crisis in many parts of Japan, Corona's record is coming against the case. The organizers, in a joint statement with the local and national government as well as the International Paralympic Committee, said in a joint statement that "more stringent measures will be taken for spectator-free competitions in these provinces."

2962 new cases of corona in Tokyo on Monday

There were 2962 new cases of corona reported in Tokyo on Monday. Earlier on Friday a record 5773 cases were reported. Whereas, the total number of Koro infections in Japan is 1,144,546. Of those, 15,408 have died while 968,380 have recovered.
