Corona affects the ability to think and focus

80,000 people were included in the online test and studied

LONDON: Coronary artery disease sufferers may have trouble thinking and concentrating, according to a study published in the journal E Clinical Medicine. The findings were based on the results of 80,000 people who took part in a series of online tests.

The greatest impact is on rational thinking and problem solving. Analyzing the data, it was found that these effects were more pronounced in those who were forced to be placed on a mechanical ventilator. "Our study shows that corona has an effect on the brain and brain function," said Adam Hampshire, a researcher at Imperial College London in the UK.

This matter needs further research. In a test conducted online in early 2020, 81,337 people provided complete data, of which 12,689 were suspected to have corona. 3,559 times told him he had a respiratory problem.

200 people were hospitalized for treatment and a quarter of them were kept on mechanical ventilation. The effect on the brains of those who were placed on a ventilator was found to be similar to that caused by aging ten years.
