Compulsion of the Taliban: Discussed the current situation with Ahmed Masood in Panjshir

New Delhi, 24 August 2021 Tuesday

After occupying Afghanistan, the Taliban has been in the process of forming a government and some of its leaders are in talks with many other opposition groups. Direct talks have started between the Islamic Emirate and the Resistance Front in Panjshir.

Sources in the Resistance Front and the Islamic Emirate have confirmed that a Taliban delegation visited Panjshir on Tuesday to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and the future government with Ahmed Masood.

Earlier, acting Afghan President Amrullah Saleh told the media on Tuesday that the Taliban's claim that they had captured part of Panjshir was completely false. The whole situation is under our control. The enthusiasm of the people of Panjshir is at a high level.

"The people of Punjab are not ready to bow to the Taliban," said acting president Saleh. We are ready for any kind of conversation. We want peace in our area. But if the Taliban want a fight, we are also ready to fight.

Acting President Amrullah Saleh also said that Ahmed Masood is currently fighting the Taliban like his father, everyone stands with him. I am also present here, everyone is united here. We have left everything to the Taliban, there will be war if they want war and peace talks if they want to negotiate.

"We want our people to have a chance to live freely, we don't want Afghanistan to become a Taliban," he said. We want the people of Afghanistan to have a chance to speak their minds, all this cannot happen in a dictatorship.
