CBI, IB not helping despite open killing of judges: Ramanna

Chief Justice slams Jharkhand judge over murder

Judges facing trial against gangsters receiving threats on WhatsApp Facebook: Chief Justice

Judges don't have enough freedom to complain, this new trend has started in the country: Ramanna

New Delhi: Chief Justice NV Ramanna has issued a scathing statement in the murder case of a judge in Jharkhand. He said the IB and CBI were not helping the judiciary at all.

Judges often complain about their problems or threats but neither the judiciary nor the judges get any help or response from these agencies. ADJ Uttam Anand was recently killed in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.

They were out on a morning walk when an auto later deliberately hit them. Which led to their death. The incident was noted by the Jharkhand High Court by Suomoto and also heard on a public interest petition. The CBI was also ordered to start an investigation into the whole incident as soon as possible.

The whole incident took place in the morning when it was too late to lodge a complaint which the court also took note of and also questioned why it took so long. The incident took place around 5 am while a complaint was lodged at 1 pm.

The Supreme Court also took note of the whole incident after the High Court. Chief Justice NV Ramanna said there were ongoing criminal cases against several gangsters in the country. Judges conducting the trial are receiving threats through Facebook WhatsApp.

It is unfortunate that no action has been taken by the CBI even though a year has passed since the order was passed in one or two cases. The Chief Justice said that a new trend has started in the country, judges are not even getting freedom to lodge their complaints.
