August 15, Tight security in Delhi, implementation of Section 144M

Balloons and drones are banned from flying in the country's capital on August 15. Article 144 has been implemented in all of Delhi.

A special cell of Delhi Police has nabbed four different gunmen before Independence Day and seized a large number of weapons from them. These weapons include two automatic pistols, 50 cartridges, a Wangan R cartridge as well as a motorcycle.

Special attention is being paid to the managers of Gun House in the context of Independence Day. There are reports of illegal arms smuggling from Madhya Pradesh to other places including Delhi and UP.

Following this information, Inspector Krishna Kadian, led by ACP Jasbir Singh, nabbed Rajveer, a resident of Karil Jatoi Hathras, (UP), a base-based illegal arms dealer village, on August 3, with illegal weapons.
