Ahmed Masood declares war on Taliban in Panjshir

Kabul, Ta. 3

Ahmed Masood, a so-called Panjshir shareholder who has never surrendered to the Taliban, has refused to surrender to the Taliban in the area under his control and has declared war. On the other hand, General Bismillah Mohammadi, the Defense Minister of the exiled government of Afghanistan, has announced to provide security to Panjshir.

Ahmed Masood, the son of Ahmed Shah Masood, the hero of the Afghan war against Russia in the 1980s, has refused to surrender to the Taliban. According to a report by Dubai-based Al Arabiya TV, Masood said the war against the Taliban would continue in the Panjshir area under his control. Former Afghan Defense Minister Bismillah Mohammadi has also declared war on the Taliban, saying the Panjshir Valley will continue to oppose the Taliban. This war will continue in the valley. Mohammadi made the statement at a time when the Taliban have taken over almost all of Afghanistan except Panjshir.

In Panjshir, the Afghan army is ready to face the Taliban. Winning the Panjshir Valley is still the biggest challenge for the Taliban. Panjshir valley is only 150 km from Kabul. Despite being far away, the Taliban could not capture it. More than 10,000 fighters are ready here to fight the Taliban. Former Afghan Vice President Amarullah Saleh is also currently in Panjshir. In addition, the army of General Abdul Rashid Dostum, the so-called War Lord of Afghanistan, is also in Panjshir.
