78 people return from Afghanistan, Union Minister receives copies of Guru Granth Sahib


New delhi date. Tuesday 24 August 2021

India is constantly working to bring out the Indians trapped in Afghanistan. An Air Force plane with a total of 78 people arrived at the Delhi airport on Tuesday on the mission. Among them were 25 Indian nationals and the rest Afghan nationals.

What is special is that along with this quantity, three copies of Guru Granth Sahib have also been brought from Kabul. Which was in a Gurudwara in Afghanistan. Copies of Guru Granth Sahib were specially welcomed at Delhi Airport.


Union Minister Hardeep Puri, V. Gurugranth Sahib was received by other government officials including Muralitharan. Meanwhile, Union Minister Hardeep Puri also served with a copy of Guru Granth Sahib on his head.

Sardar Dharmendra Singh, who brought Gurugranth Sahib from Kabul to Delhi, reached here and said that we have left Kabul and reached here this morning. We thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian Embassy and the Indian Air Force for helping us through difficult times.


As per the information, at present these copies will be kept in the Gurdwara of Delhi. Hardeep Puri said on the occasion that he was grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his mission to bring out the Indians and locals trapped in Afghanistan.

People are constantly being evacuated from Afghanistan by India. So far, India has repatriated more than 500 people from Kabul. Not only Indian citizens but also Afghans are being brought back from India.


Apart from this, India has given many leeway in visa rules for Afghan citizens. So if anyone wants to come to Delhi he can come. India is conducting its own rescue operation from Kabul airport with the help of US and other NATO forces.
