Twenty-two years ago today, there was a war between India and Pakistan in the hills of Kargil. Preparations had begun a long time ago

India was informed of Pakistan's move in May but the enemy had already started its preparations several months ago. In November 1998, a brigadier of the Pakistan Army was sent to do Reiki in the Kargil sector. The entire plan was executed on the basis of his report.

In January 1999, the leave of Frontier Division personnel stationed at Skardu and Gilgit in Pakistan was canceled. That part of Pakistan was also high mountainous. During the cold, they would leave their outposts and go home to enjoy their holidays.

Initially 200 soldiers were sent to the Indian border in civil dress. But when it was learned that there were no Indian Army personnel, more troops were called. By the end of the cold, Pakistan had occupied an area of 200 to 300 sq km.

This is how India fell ...

Until May 1999, India was unaware of the Pakistani infiltrators. Then one day when the herdsmen reached there they were informed that some armed men had occupied the Indian outposts. He returned and reported the matter to the Indian Army.

The war began on May 8, 1999. Indian troops also began to reach heights and then Operation Victory began. The Indian Army as well as the Air Force took the lead in this war. One problem for the Indian army was that they were down and the intruders were at a height, although the Indian army still chased them. The Indian tricolor was finally flown at Kargil on July 26, 1999.

562 of our soldiers were martyred.

The Kargil war killed more than 600 Pakistani soldiers and wounded more than 1,500. In this direction 562 Indian Army personnel were killed and 1,363 were injured.
