Mumbai: The Gujarati film industry has suffered a major setback. Veteran Gujarati film, TV and drama actor Arvind Rathore has passed away at the age of 80. He had been ill for a long time and had moved away from the world of entertainment.

They lived at Paldi. He acted in Gujarati films like Bhadar Tara Walta Pani, Son Kansari, Ganga Sati, Maa Khodas Taro Chamkaro. He also acted in many Bollywood films.

The Gujarati film world is in mourning over the demise of Arvind Rathore. His father was a tailor. But Arvind was interested in acting instead of that work. He also acted in several plays. He came to Mumbai in 1968 for the play Preet Pewan Panetar. He was working in Mumbai as a photo journalist.

Raj Kapoor gave him a small role in Mera Naam Joker after seeing him, ever since he joined the screen of the film. Arvind Rathore has acted in Hindi films like Johnny Uska Naam, Badnaam Farishte, Mahasati Savitri, Kora Kagaz, Salam Memsab, Agneepath, Khuda Gawah, Ab To Aaja Sajan Mere.
