Uttar Pradesh District Panchayat Election: BJP wins 67 out of 75 seats



Lucknow: The results of the district panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh have come out. BJP's saffron is flying in it. BJP has captured 67 out of 75 district panchayat seats. Elections were held today for 53 seats of District Panchayat Chairman. BJP candidates have won in all the districts except Eta, Sant Kabir, Azamgarh, Ballia, Bampat, Jaunpur and Pratapgarh.

Opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) candidates have won in Eta, Ballia, Sant Kabirnagar and Azamgarh. The Independent won in Jaunpur, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in Baghpat and the Jansatta Dal candidate in Pratapgarh.

Earlier, 22 district panchayat heads were elected unopposed. Among them, 21 BJP candidates and one SP candidate were elected. According to this, BJP won in 6 districts, SP in five districts and Jansatta Dal and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) won one seat each and Independent won one seat.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attributed the BJP's victory in the district panchayat elections to the Prime Minister's public welfare policies and said that the result was the people's faith in the established good governance in the region. He also wished the elected candidates a bright future and said that the victory of all of you would further strengthen the Panchayati Raj system.

In the important district and city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, BJP's Aarti Rawat got 13 votes and won. While Samajwadi Party (SP) 's Nishi Yadav came second with 13 votes. In Jaunpur, Bahubali Dhananjay Singh's wife Shrikala Reddy won. He got 6 votes. BJP candidate Neelam Singh, who revolted, came second with 9 votes.
