In Mumbai, many people lose their lives when buildings, houses, walls and trees collapse in the rains. Since such incidents occur every year, there is a discussion that necessary steps should be taken for the safety of the people. Heavy rains lashed Mumbai last night.

At Mahul in Chembur, at Vanjar Danda, Vashi Naka, New Bharat Nagar, at about one o'clock in the night, a cliff collapsed and a wall collapsed, crushing people sleeping in seven to eight houses. They could not come out of the house to save lives. Upon learning of the incident, a team of municipal employees, fire brigade, police and NDRF rushed to the spot.

Due to the mud, the narrow space made it difficult to rescue people. About six lives were saved by being pulled out of the rubble. A similar incident took place in Bhandup. A 16-year-old boy was killed when a wall collapsed in Bhandup. There was a forest department wall in the Amarkot part of Bhandup.

The teenager was fetching water from the house. Then the wall with the cliff fell. Soham was evicted by locals. But he died. It may be mentioned that for the last 48 hours, the sky has been raining on Mumbai with all its might. Especially on the night of July 15 and 17, in just four-five hours, there was a heavy downpour of about 20 inches.
