Thousands flock to Ujjain's famous Mahakaleshwar temple to avoid major tragedy

The stampede was followed by a stampede to pay homage to the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. A number of women and children have been reported injured. However, no casualties have been reported and a major tragedy has been averted.

Devotees have been re-entered the temple for darshan after the second wave of Corona subsided. On the first Monday of the month of Shravan on Monday, a large number of devotees arrived here and the doors of the temple were opened like a crowd of people rushing for darshan together.

Men, women and children could not handle themselves when the situation of pushing and shoving was created in the temple and many people fell down. Police and security guards deployed at the temple took care of the situation after seeing that the darshan facility had collapsed.

There have been incidents of pushing and shoving here in the past and devotees have also lost their lives. Those who came out to pay homage said that VIPs including CM Shivraj Singh and former CM Uma Bharti had come to pay homage and the crowd had increased because of them. The security guards could not handle the uncontrollable crowd for a while and the situation worsened.

His video is going viral on social media and hundreds of people are seen entering the temple.
