The yatra in Uttar Pradesh this year has been canceled due to the Koro epidemic. The yatra was discussed between the state government and the yoke union and the union then decided to cancel the yatra. At the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avanish Awasthi and DGP Mukul Goyal held talks with Kawad Sangh.

The yoke yatra was recently heard in the Supreme Court and the court gave the yogi government a chance to reconsider. During the hearing, the state government told the court that there would be no complete ban on yacht yatra in the region and the yad yatra would continue symbolically. However, during the hearing, the court asked the UP government to reconsider.

"This is a very important issue for everyone," the apex court said during the hearing. Everyone’s life is the most important. Religious and other sentiments are not subject to fundamental rights. In this regard, the central government also said in the Supreme Court that the yatra should not be allowed to go to Uttarakhand.

Yoke cancellation canceled in several states

This time the Uttarakhand government had banned the yatra. At the same time, the Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan also banned yatra in the state. Travel has also been banned in Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand.

The matter is set to be heard again in the Supreme Court on Monday in which the state government will inform the cancellation of the yatra in the month of Shravan. The government may also show the plan in court with a plan to make Ganga water available to devotees during the month of Shravan. Even last year, the Kawad Sangh had agreed not to organize the Kawad Yatra after talks with the government.
