The reason for inflation is Modi government's indiscriminate tax collection: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi has taken a stand against the central government over rising inflation in the country.

"Everything is getting expensive and people are upset but small producers, shopkeepers and farmers are not benefiting," said Rahul Gandhi, a former Congress president and MP from Wayanad. The reason behind inflation is the indiscriminate tax collection by the Modi government.

Earlier on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi had also said that the government was wasting the time of Parliament. The Opposition is not being given a chance to speak during the proceedings in Parliament. Parliament is the foundation of democracy and the voice of the opposition is heard in Parliament but the Modi government does not allow the opposition to do its job. Instead of wasting Parliament time, the government should give the opposition a chance to speak on the issue of inflation, farmers and Pegasus.

Congress is protesting across the country on the issue of inflation and petrol and diesel price hike. The Congress says that people who are bothered by Corona are getting more annoyed due to inflation.
