The monsoon session will begin on Monday in Parliament, the temple of Indian democracy. As the government prepares to pass some important bills in the monsoon session, the opposition will surround the government on issues like petrol-diesel price hike, poor performance of the government in the second wave of Corona epidemic, slow pace of vaccination, investigation of Raphael deal in France. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in an all-party meeting convened on Sunday that the government was ready to have a healthy and meaningful discussion on all issues. On the other hand, a meeting was also held in the House under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Modi to formulate a strategy on the functioning of the government.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said Prime Minister Modi told the various leaders of the House at the meeting that the government was ready to have a meaningful and healthy discussion on every issue as per rules and procedure. Representatives of 6 parties were present at the all-party meeting convened before the monsoon session. Prime Minister Modi said that the suggestions of the representatives of the people, especially the suggestions of the Opposition, are very valuable as they enrich the discussion. On the first day of the parliamentary session, the Prime Minister will present the new ministers to the House.

In addition to the all-party meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held an NDA meeting on Sunday. The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda. Leaders of allied parties of the NDA were also present. The meeting devised the strategy of the House for the monsoon session. The monsoon season will last till August 15.

Meanwhile, the Opposition has also made preparations for the monsoon session. A separate meeting of the Leader of the Opposition was also held in the Rajya Sabha on the initiative of Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Khadge after the all-party meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. The Opposition has decided to raise issues like inflation, increase in petrol-diesel and cooking gas prices, farmers' agitation and mismanagement of the government in the second wave of Koro epidemic.

Opposition parties, especially the Congress, will also raise the issue of the French probe into the raffle deal between India and France. Also, the Opposition will force the government to send various bills to the Standing Committee of Parliament instead of passing them in a hurry.

On the other hand, the farmers who are agitating on the issue of new agricultural laws have also decided to stage demonstrations outside Parliament during the session. As a result, the session is likely to remain tumultuous from Monday. Corona related protocols will be fully complied with during the monsoon session and social distance will be maintained. According to government figures, six members of the Lok Sabha and 312 members of the Rajya Sabha have taken at least one dose of the corona vaccine.
