The British and Indian navies conducted a joint military exercise in the Bay of Bengal

The British Royal Navy and the Indian Navy conducted a joint military exercise in the Bay of Bengal. The exercise involved 10 warships, 3 submarines and 20 fighter jets from both the countries. The military exercise will last for three days.
British Royal Navy warships and fighter jets arrived in the Indian Ocean as part of enhancing maritime cooperation. Warships and fighter jets, including Britain's famous HMS Queen Elizabeth, conducted a military exercise in the Bay of Bengal with the Indian Navy.
In addition to the warships of the British Navy, a fleet of destroyers, frigates, submarines, minesweepers arrived for war games with India. This is the first time that the British Navy has conducted a maneuver in the Indian Ocean with the largest warship.
A total of 10 warships, two submarines, 20 fighter jets and 4,000 soldiers from both the countries took part in the exercise. The British Foreign Office said the exercise was part of an effort to enhance co-operation between the two countries' navies and to co-operate in each other's techniques. A joint military exercise between India and the British Navy will take place in the Atlantic Ocean shortly. The Indian Navy is likely to conduct a joint exercise in Britain in August.
The navies of the two countries will conduct military exercises at different locations in the Indian Ocean. Apart from the Bay of Bengal, a joint exercise will also be held on the coast of Goa. India-Britain is an important defense partner, said Sir Ben Key, Vice Admiral of the British Navy. The British Navy is present in the Indian Ocean with one of its most powerful warships, the Queen Elizabeth, as part of its support for India in the Indo-Pacific region.
