Pictures of Pakistan's China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) site are going viral on social media. The Chinese workers working here are deployed not only with their own tools but also with AK-47s. Recently, there was a terrorist attack on a bus carrying Chinese workers in Pakistan. Since then, fear has spread among Chinese nationals working in Pakistan.

Security is always present with Chinese workers wherever they work in Pakistan. Yet many times in different parts of Pakistan, Chinese citizens have to face the wrath of locals and protesters.

China spent crores of rupees to create a Special Security Division (SSD) whose only job was to protect Chinese nationals working in Pakistan. Pakistan was also asked to ensure the safety of Chinese workers but failed several times.

China sent a team to investigate the terrorist attack

Recently, when a bus full of Chinese workers was targeted, other Chinese workers became alert. The militants targeted a bus full of engineers in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, killing nine Chinese nationals. China has sent a team to Pakistan to investigate the attack. This is why a picture of a Chinese engineer working with an AK-47 on his shoulder has become a topic of discussion.
