Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest son of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabdi Devi, is famous for his unique approach. Tej Pratap has come under discussion once again this time. Tej Pratap has started an agarbatti business which has come under discussion. He started his business under the name LR i.e. Lalu-Rabdi Radhakrishna. LR stands for Largest Rich.

What is special about this incense burner is that it does not use any chemical. But it is made of flowers offered in the temple. According to Tej Pratap, he bought such an agarbatti from Mathura-Vrindavan. Then a friend from Delhi saw it being made in an agarbatti factory and was impressed by it and decided to make an ayurvedic agarbatti in Patna. For production, he has set up a factory at Laluji's Khatal named after his father.

The scent lasts up to 10 days

Tej Pratap claims that when one of his incense sticks is lit, its aroma stays in the room for 10 days. Tej Pratap gave the incense stick to his father while Lalu Yadav was lodged in Ranchi jail. According to him, this will also provide employment to the people. Although the agarbatti is a bit expensive but they say they will soon start making cheap agarbatti so that the agarbatti can be delivered to the common poor.

According to the buyers, one had to go to Delhi, Mathura, Vrindavan to buy such agarbatti. It used to be very expensive to bring from such a place but now it is not expensive as it is available here. According to the people who built it, people used to throw flowers at the temple. We bring that flower, dry it and PC to make agarbatti from it. Different flowers like Golgotha, Rose, Jasud are offered in the temple from which different flavors and incense sticks are made. Before starting the business, local youth were trained to make agarbatti by bringing artisans from Vrindavan.

This is how agarbatti is made

According to Ashutosh, who makes agarbatti, the first flower is brought and dried. In addition to many types of herbs, manure, ghee, etc. are added to make PC powder. Dung also belongs to Lalu Khatal. Although the collection of flowers has declined due to the closure of temples in the lockdown, the construction of agarbatti is still going on from the existing stock.

According to the manager of LR Radha-Krishna Agarbatti Company, the demand for this agarbatti has increased in Bihar. Apart from that, demand calls are coming from Indore, Delhi etc.
