37,000 new Corona cases in 24 hours, 724 more deaths: Active cases drop to 4.50 lakh

Festivals, religious ceremonies are important but can be celebrated later, follow protocol: IMA

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 37,154 new cases of corona virus have been reported in India. At the same time, 724 more people have died due to corona and the total death toll has risen to 408764.

Active cases have also come down to 4.50 lakh. On the other hand, the recovery rate has risen to 97.22 per cent. The Indian Medical Association has advised people not to turn into mobs, as well as states to follow the rules properly.

The central government has also expressed concern that a large number of people have started flocking to tourist spots, markets and other spots. This type of crowd is more likely to have a third wave of corona.

The Indian Medical Association said that festivals, religious programs, tourist attractions, etc. are important but the way people are gathering in large numbers at the moment, it seems that they could also cause a third wave of corona in the country and they could become super spreaders. .

The Indian Medical Association has appealed to all the states that a third wave could come if they do not overcome the urgency to gather at public events.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia said the government was working on all the facilities needed in every hospital in the country to cope with the epidemic. And for this, these facilities will be provided in the next six months.

The health minister also said that the government has approved a package of Rs 25,000 crore to meet the emergency situation. Facilities like oxygen will be set up in each district in case of emergency.

The government is running a vaccination campaign and encouraging people to get vaccinated. On the other hand, the number of vaccines being administered daily has declined since June 21. Between June 21 and 27, an average of 61 lakh doses were given daily, which later dropped to 41 lakh.
