RJD MLAs wearing helmets started the monsoon session of Bihar Assembly from today

The monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly began on July 6. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLAs Satish Das and Mukesh Raishan entered the House wearing helmets in symbolic protest. He also had a medical kit. He said he was scared to come into the house, so he wore a helmet.

In the last session of the House, on March 8, the issue of ill-treatment of MLAs in the Assembly was shining in the news. All opposition groups, including the RJD, are protesting on the issue. However, two police personnel were later suspended. RJD MLA Satish Kumar on Monday said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had called the goons inside the assembly on March 9. Suspending police personnel is not a punishment.

The first day of the monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly was spent in a commotion in protest of the above incident on March 8. The MLAs demanded an apology from the Nitish government over the incident that took place in the Assembly on March 8. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections.

The monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly will last till July 30. The priority of the Nitish government in this short session will be to pass several bills. At the same time, in addition to carrying out financial work, copies of orders approved by the Governor will be kept in the House. Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha will form a working committee to manage the house.
