Amid speculation of a cabinet expansion in the second term of the Modi government, several senior leaders of the BJP and allied parties arrived in Delhi on Wednesday. Many leaders, including Sarvanand Sonowal, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Narayan Rane, are expected to join the cabinet.

Sarvanand Sonowal, who vacated the Chief Minister's post in Assam, and Jyotiraditya Scindia, who played a key role in overthrowing the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh and winning the BJP in the by-elections, have reached Delhi. Narayan Rane from Maharashtra has also been called to Delhi. JDU president RCP Singh from Bihar and LJP's Pashupati Paras are also in Delhi. However, sources said that RCP Singh had come to Delhi to hold talks on the inclusion of JDU ministers. Joshi is likely to be made a minister. All these leaders have reached Delhi.

However, all the leaders in Delhi have remained silent on their inclusion in the cabinet. Narayan Rane said he had not received any call to join the government. Amid the ongoing feud between Pashupati Paras and Chirag Paswan in the LJP, Pashupati Paras said he was called by Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday. However, the call was on the birth anniversary of LJP founder Ram Vilas Paswan.

Though there is no official word on the expansion of the Modi government's cabinet, a series of meetings between the government and the BJP have highlighted speculations of a major cabinet reshuffle and expansion after the second term of the Modi government in 2014. The cabinet reshuffle is expected to take place on Wednesday.
