Explosive news that Israeli company Pegasus has been hired for tapping the phones of Modi government ministers, RSS leaders, Supreme Court judges and journalists is set to hit the foreign media on Sunday night, sparking outrage in political circles.

However, according to sources, the phones and WhatsApp of cabinet ministers Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani and Prahlad Patel were tapped in India. Apart from this, the phones of some RSS leaders, including Dattatreya Hosbol, Supreme Court judges and hundreds of journalists have been tapped. Sources said the phones of CBI, Enforcement Directorate and IT officials were also tapped, according to a report by Hindi website Amar Ujala.

Meanwhile, Congress MP in the Lok Sabha Karti Chidambaram also tweeted about Pegasus, according to The Weekly magazine. Karti Chidambaram did not write as clearly as Swami. Karti Chidambaram wrote in his tweet, "A small bird has told me that Pegasus is going to explode." The senior journalist also said in a tweet on Saturday night that there were reports that "a big story" was coming and that media organizations, including India, were involved. He claimed that the report would be released on Sunday night at 11.5 pm.
