Pakistani hackers targeting India's power company and government system

New Delhi: Pakistani hackers are targeting India's power companies and government system. Until now, it was believed that China was behind a number of cyber attacks on India, but now there are reports that Pakistan is also involved.

Earlier this year, Pakistan-based cyber-attackers targeted Indian power companies and a government organization with the help of a new malware. Cyber attackers installed a new type of remote access Trojan (RAT). It can monitor the other person's computer. Not only that but these attackers used the domain name of their victim in India.

The cyber attack was first reported by Lumen Technologies' Black Lots Labs security team. It said the IP address given to the hackers group belonged to Pakistan's mobile data operator CMPaklimit. He is also known as Zheng Ji in Pakistan. This mobile operator is part of China Mobile Communications Corporation.

Michael Benjamin, head of Black Lots Labs, said there were several indicators indicating that the attackers were from Pakistan. They were all targeting Pakistan. It was targeting power companies and government units.

The Pakistan-based hacker network also targeted Afghanistan's infrastructure. The attack was similar to the attack on India. Attackers use a new attack for this type of attack, which people are not aware of. It is also using malware to identify the security community.

The sudden power outage in Mumbai last year was linked to a cyber attack. Train service was also affected.
