New Delhi, 10 July 2021 Saturday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday added 36 new faces to his cabinet, bringing the total number of ministers to 78. The legal maximum ministers can be kept 81. Seeing that, Modi was able to stay away from that limit, but he could not escape the fact that the country has to be ashamed!

Out of the total 78 allies of Prime Minister Modi, 33 (42 per cent) have been booked for various offenses, meaning that there are 33 ministers in the country who are accused who could be convicted in court.

If we do a little analysis, it will be seen that out of 33 accused ministers of Modi, 24 dignitaries have committed crimes like murder, attempted murder and robbery.

A report published by the Paul Rights Group Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) paints a horoscope of Modi's ministers.

Of the 78, 70 ministers (90 per cent) are millionaires. Jyotiraditya Scindia (397 crore), Piyush Goyal (95 crore), Narayan Rane (87 crore), while Rajiv Chandrasekhar (64 crore) are the High Asset Ministers.

Out of the total 56 members of the previous cabinet, 39 ministers had admitted to committing crimes against them. Now, the number has gone up by three per cent to 42 per cent. Even in that cabinet, 91 per cent members were millionaires.

Some Modi-ministers are also poor. Among the ministers who have become lakhpatis are Pratima Bhaumik of Tripura (6 lakh), John Barla of West Bengal (14 lakh), Kailash Chaudhary of Rajasthan (24 lakh), Bishweshwar Tundu of Odisha (27 lakh) and V. of Maharashtra. Muralitharan (27 lakh) and other ministers are lakhpatis.
