ISRO will launch the Geo Imaging Satellite GISAT-1 on August 12

Earlier the launch was halted due to the Corona epidemic

The satellite will be stationary in one place and will send a live image with real time tracking across the country.

BENGALURU: The launch of the satellite GISAT-1, which was earlier halted due to the Corona epidemic, will be launched on August 12. ISRO has made all preparations to launch this real time imaging satellite into space.

ISRO will launch a satellite named GSET-1 from Sriharikota. August 12 is set for that. The Geo Imaging Satellite GSET-1 will be launched from the GSLV-F10 rocket. This will be only the second launch after the Corona epidemic.

Earlier, it was launched from Sriharikota on February 21. The launch date for the satellite had been set twice earlier, but the launch was canceled due to the Corona epidemic.

The satellite will stay in one place in space and monitor the terrain of the country in real time and help in taking a live image. GSET-1 weighs 2268 kilograms. It was originally scheduled to launch in March 2020, but had to be canceled due to a technical error.

The re-launch was scheduled for March 28 this year, but was forced to cancel due to another wave of Corona. ISRO has now fixed August 12 for the launch of GSET-1. An official ISRO announcement said: The launch will take place on August 12 at 5.43 am. This satellite will be a game changer for India in many ways.
