A strange incident took place in Kadali village of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Fearing Corona, the family stayed home for 18 months. Eventually the police pulled them out.
According to the sarpanch of Kadali village in Andhra Pradesh, a neighbor of a woman named Ruthamma died of corona. Frightened, Ruthamma decided to stay home from that day. Ruthamma, 30, was raised at home with her two daughters, Kanthamani (3 years) and Rani (20 years).
The presence of Ruthamma and her daughters had not been recorded for 18 months. The villagers thought that the three of them were going out of the village somewhere. This was reported one day after so many months when the village leaders reached home to get the signature for the benefit of the government scheme.
The incident was then reported to the sarpanch. The sarpanch persuaded them, but the people refused to leave the house. He kept himself locked in the house for fear of Corona, which made his health very bad.
The sarpanch informed the police. The police went to the family and took the family out of the house. According to the sarpanch, Ruthamma and her three daughters were rushed to a government hospital. He had been bathing for several days and his hair had also grown. The trio's appearance was frightening due to their unkempt hair. All three were in danger of being killed if they were still locked in the house for a few days.
